Signet Solar, the global manufacturer of thin film silicon photovoltaic (PV) modules, announced a key addition to its executive team this month with the appointment of Bruce Horn as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Horn will oversee Signet’s financial development and offer strategic support as the company scales its manufacturing capabilities.

Gregory Manuel joined Amyris this June in the new position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy. Manuel, an expert in alternative energy and public policy, will help oversee Amyris’s strategic direction and corporate development opportunities as it scales up production of its renewable fuels and chemicals in the United States and Brazil.

Helix Wind the innovative wind turbine manufacturer announced the addition of Gene Hoffman, Jr. to its Board of Directors.

Daniel Wolf, J.D., CEO of Advanced Earth Technologies, has joined Global 8, the environmental technology company’s Board of Directors this month.

Ocean Power Technologies has appointed Angus Norman as CEO of the company’s UK-based subsidiary. Norman joins OPT from EDF Energy, where he held the position of Managing Director of Sustainable Solutions.

Paul Bramley has joined Osmosis Capital, the fund of funds manager focused on the development of low carbon investment solutions, as its CFO. Bramley joins from Barclays Private Equity, where he was COO for the infrastructure funds business. He previously served as Group FD at Climate Change Capital

Canada

Newalta the waste and environmental management company announced the appointment of Tom Ryley to the Board of Directors. Ryley has been in the Canadian energy industry for over 30 years, and is currently a Principal with Beacon Head Energy.

Tom Huntington has been named President and CEO by WaterFurnace Renewable Energy, the supplier of geothermal energy systems. Huntington will take over from Bruce Ritchey, who is retiring from the Company after 10 years in the position.

Canadian Hydropower Association has appointed Jacob Irving as President of the Association. Irving has over 10 years of experience as an association manager and government relations specialist.

Gudmundur Sigurjonsson has joined Western GeoPower, the geothermal project developer, as a Director of the company. An Iceland-based engineer, Sigurjonsson has expertise in project engineering and management.
