Simon Crook
Simon has over 15 years experience of supporting business growth and technology commercialisation – the past five focussed on Clean Technology.
Simon started his career commercialising a new processing technology for Nestlé before moving to ExxonMobil where he worked in Fuels & Lubricants product development. He then worked for Sagentia plc in technology consultancy before moving to ANGLE plc where he managed the ANGLE-Carbon Trust Incubator helping a range of clean technology companies that raised over £30 million whilst in the incubator. Simon then moved over to work in ANGLE’s investment business before moving to Grant Thornton Corporate Finance Technology Team where he led fund-raisings for clean technology companies. He has worked with companies developing both Clean Energy – microwind, solar, biomass & biofuels and marine – and energy efficiency products – demand management, fuel cells, innovative chemical processes and high efficiency motors.
Simon now works hands-on with companies, corporates and universities to help them grow clean technology businesses.
Simon holds MEng (1st), PhD (Cambridge) and executive-MBA degrees.
