Job Role: Asset Engineer
Location: Edinburgh / Perth / Glasgow
Salary: £31,500 - £47,900 depending on skills and experience
12 month fixed term contract | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available
The Asset Engineer is a key role in a major 3 year change programme within a core programme team. The role supports the Project Managers on the delivery of critical project outputs to enable effective change and support overall programme success. This is a highly visible role with direct responsibility for outputs working with a broad range of stakeholders across multiple sites in the UK.
This is a business focused role working directly with the Generation and Storage business representatives to ensure business requirements, processes and procedures are documented and aligned to new standards and solutions to ensure successful implementation and change management.
The role will require extensive engagement with business representatives from each of the Generation and Storage business areas as well as IT analysts and the broader programme team. The Asset Engineer is likely to provide support for each of the projects in the programme although initially the focus will be on the business aspects of an established project focussed on improving the quality of key asset related data across the businesses.
The role is part of an exciting high profile programme with senior leader sponsorship working with an established and growing team.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has knowledge of Asset Management within an energy generation, utilities or oil and gas business environment, encompassing operating model, products and processes. Knowledge of ISO55000 is desirable, however not essential.
You should have business analysis experience in operations including business procedure impact analysis. Knowledge of IT delivery would be extremely beneficial and if you have an understanding of Maximo, this would be advantageous as well, however this is not essential.
You’ll be articulate with excellent written, interpersonal and analytical skills, capable of working with a broad range of stakeholders and deliver information in a detailed, structured, logical and consistent manner to ensure business requirements, processes and procedures are clearly defined.
As a natural facilitator, you’ll utilise your negotiation and influencing skills to make sure that agreements are reached around the development of processes, and accurately articulate proposed solutions.
