Job Title: Asset Engineer; Rotating Plant

Location: Ferrybridge, Glasgow or Perth

Salary: £36,500 – £55,000 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance + annual bonus

Permanent | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week

The Role

As Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in order to manage the medium to long term integrity of high risk operational assets and new build projects, where failure would have a major impact on safety; environmental; and commercial operation of the business.

The role will include the development of relevant engineering and design standards and undertake engineering reviews across the fleet to ensure assets comply with engineering legislation and standards; development engineering designs for high risk new build assets; and provision of specialist engineering support and advice to asset operators and project teams.

Some of your other key responsibilities will include;

*Delivery of Asset Life Assessments within the rotating plant discipline and determining the current status of high risk operational assets

*Developing appropriate control measures and engineering strategies.

*Developing engineering solutions required to mitigate integrity risk across high risk assets

*The technical review of generation and gas Storage operational investments

*Providing specialist engineering support to operational gas turbine assets

Your Skills & Experience

We are looking for you to have excellent report writing skills and ability to deliver quality work to the agreed timescales. A strong commercial awareness is required to understand implications of engineering activities and decisions. As a leader, you will have good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to use effective influencing skills across the organisation.

Technical requirements for the role include;

*Chartered Engineer and member of the Engineering Council or working toward accreditation

*Good technical knowledge and experience within large industrial gas turbines.

*Working knowledge of gas turbine combustion systems

*Experienced in asset integrity risk assessment and providing mitigation solutions.

*Understanding plant operation and appropriate risk controls within the rotating plant
