Location: Beatrice Offshore Windfarm, Wick
Salary: £27,947– £36,912 depending on skills and experience + shift allowance + annual bonus
We have an opportunity for a marine coordinator to support our £2.4billion offshore wind farm at Wick. When constructed Beatrice will consist of 84 turbines which will power over 450,000 homes and the operations and maintenance for the wind farm will run from our new state of the art facility at Wick harbour.
You’ll work within a team who is responsible for remotely monitoring and controlling the 588MW offshore wind farm and transmission assets. Your main duties will include the management and coordination of all windfarm-related vessel/helicopter traffic, management of offshore personnel dispatching and you’ll also be the primary point of contact for emergency response. In addition, you’ll assist the control room operator with the day-to-day operation of the windfarm and associated transmission assets.
A large part of this role will involve ensuring all marine/aviation operations comply with policies, procedures, SHE and OEM recommendations and that personnel movements are recorded accordingly. You’ll monitor all non-windfarm marine traffic to ensure site safety along with site security via CCTV.
Your Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with a recognised trade background such as skipper or engineer or be able to demonstrate a knowledge of working with vessels and marine control. Previous experience of working with a Safe System of Work and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems would be an advantage.
Good communication skills will be essential to ensure you can work across multidiscipline teams and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders. You must also be comfortable working to tight deadlines.
The role will entail working on a shift rota and you must be able to commute daily to the operations and maintenance base located in Wick.
