Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (negotiable)

The Company
Our client is an established RE installer working in rural, public sector and domestic RE installations. They design, supply and install Solar PV, Solar Thermal, Wind Turbines, biomass and Heat Pump systems.
The Role
The responsibilities of the biomass engineer will include installation, service, technical support and commissioning of commercial and domestic biomass boiler systems. Provide product training of the biomass systems to internal employees, engineers and end users.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating of key process cycle parameters
Technology review and recommendation
Production of engineering drawings required for the development and consenting process using in-house CAD resource
Working closely with and supporting Project Development Managers in the pre and post-planning detailed engineering for biomass projects, including phases such as planning, procurement, financing, due diligence & environmental permitting.
Specify, engage and manage specialist external consultant/contractor input on a range of engineering aspects.
Develop & support ongoing improvement of engineering procedures for biomass.
Maintain generic engineering parameters for Biomass projects
Maintain a watching brief on emerging technologies for the recovery of useful energy from biomass feed stocks.
Qualifications:
Ideally educated to degree level in mechanical, chemical or process engineering (or equiv)
Relevant industrial experience, preferably in the field of bioenergy, electricity generation (thermal plant), or other thermal process industry.
Strong contract and project management skills
Excellent team-working and strong communication and IT skills.
An ability to manage work to tight deadlines
