The Company

My Client, imports, distributes, and installs biomass boilers. Our Client is a major player and leader in the renewables market with enormous scope for further rapid expansion. They are currently looking to recruit a highly-motivated Biomass Engineer Design. The company is experiencing rapid growth and serves the commercial and domestic biomass sectors, offering quality boilers and district heating solutions. 

The Role

My client is looking to hire a Design Engineer to lead their biomass sector. This is a great opportunity for a highly technical engineer to become a world class technical leader in the rapidly growing biomass energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Specifically, the successful candidate will:

• Build a high level of engineering solution design expertise within the team and the business for biomass energy systems
• Conduct detailed design exercises for biomass energy installations
• Support the business development efforts by delivering the design and technical input to tenders for biomass heating and power installations, district heating and other bio-energy projects
• Be responsible for finalising pricing on complex projects.
• Build and manage the team of design engineer.
• Run the services part of the business which includes remote monitoring services of existing installations with alerts provided to field staff when required.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate is likely to have the following profile:

• Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma from a leading college or university, 2:1 degree or better
• Experience in designing mechanical and electrical systems, preferably in the Biomass
• A background in renewable energy, boilers or HEVAC would be preferable but not essential.
• Excellent proficiency with CAD packages
• Full driving licence
• Dynamic and flexible, can do attitude: able to travel 2-3 days per week
• Ambitious, comfortable with meeting tight deadlines. Real drive
