Job Title: Business Analyst – Sustainability
Salary: £27,000 - £40,500 depending on skills and experience
Permanent | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week
As a Sustainability Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in the delivery of our Sustainability Strategy working closely with colleagues to provide an award winning submission to the EDR Incentive. This will involve supporting business teams in implementing the strategy, gathering information and producing incentive submission drafts, leading to our final submission. Your role will encompass extensive stakeholder liaison, research, establishing required activities and processes, and sourcing evidence to deliver the strategy, ensuring that it is sustainable and to the benefit of the SHE Transmission business. You’ll also aim to deliver an increased awareness of sustainability and environment within the SHE Transmission business, engaging your colleagues and encouraging a culture of awareness.
This is a unique opportunity to get involved with our EDR submission, and as such, we ask that you have a sound awareness of sustainability, including wider social impacts and environmental issues. You’ll hold experience in preparing and presenting business reports to a wide range of stakeholders, including strong analytical skills and an ability to identify innovative and progressive solutions. A key area of knowledge required is of our industry, and the regulatory bodies that govern it; any specific experience in energy networks would be a bonus, however not essential.
Your role will be varied, and often involve a range of diverse projects; therefore, you should be a highly organised individual, with an ability to work under pressure, and to often tight deadlines. Due to the nature of your role, you should also have a knack for relaying complex messages in an easy to understand manner, with an ability to influence stakeholders where required.

The Transmission Planning and Performance Team works to ensure that the business is ready for future challenges. This includes delivery of our Sustainability Strategy and the Environmental Discretionary Reward (EDR) Incentive; implemented by Ofgem, this scheme provides a financial and reputational incentive for the transmission business to provide evidence that we are achieving high standards of environmental management and renewable energy connections as we move to a lower carbon future.
