Our client has an extensive track record in delivering environmental services solutions to a broad range of customers throughout the Republic Of Ireland. These services can be broadly divided into the following key areas; Asbestos Disposal, Battery Recycling, Contaminated Soil Disposal, Hazardous Waste Management, Industrial Site Services, Liquid Waste Treatment, Industrial Packaging Recycling & Supply, Oil Recycling & Recycling of Oil Filled Electrical Equipment. As a result of continued growth, the company is looking to recruit a New Business Development Manager. The primary purpose of the position is to develop new customers in the Hazardous Waste Management & Industrial Packaging divisions.
Responsibilities will include:
. Develop opportunities to grow business in line with company plans & market developments;
. Ensure existing and new products and services are successfully communicated to new customers;
. Manage customer pricing and margins according to agreed targets;
. Log, respond to and follow up sales enquiries quickly and comprehensively;
. Contribute to marketing activities and align personal sales efforts with initiatives such as sales literature, company website;
. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information on a monthly basis;
. Record, analyse and report on New Business sales activities and results on a monthly basis;
. Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business relationships;
. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development;
The Person - Essential Criteria:
. Educated to degree level (Desirable but not essential), with at least five years? experience operating in a new business field sales/account management roles(s);
. The successful candidate will have a track record of at least 3 years working in an exclusively Business Development role, preferably in one or more of the following : (i) environmental services, (ii) industrial packaging, (iii) chemical handling , and/or a related sector;
. A demonstrable recent/current track record of achieving New Business targets with requisite margin KPIs through the conversion of business opportunities into sales is essential,
. Experience of developing and managing working relationships with clients across a range of industry sectors throughout Ireland,
. A proven self-starter with the ability to develop and implement effective New Business Development plans using the requisite analytical and organisational skills;
. Self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic team player;
. Determined and goal-oriented, matched by high ethical values demonstrating honesty and integrity;
. Ability to learn, communicate and present key technical sales messages;
. IT literate. Competent in the use of CRM, Microsoft Office and in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
