Salary: £40,201 – £53,096 depending on skills and experience + excellent benefits + annual bonus
Permanent Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available.
As C&I Engineer your main focus will be on the development and support of the SCADA and Control System platform, encompassing hardware, software, integration and commissioning on all operational and reporting systems. You’ll be working in a data intensive environment where reliability and accuracy is critical, and you’ll be expected to develop improvements and guarantee uptime of the systems sourcing and capturing of data.
The team operates in close quarters with various departments and divisions within the wider SSE portfolio where you would be expected provide support when required on short notice
The position will require 20% travel, locally in Scotland and Ireland. You will also be required to represent the Wind Generation team in more formal situations, therefore presentation skills will be essential.

Your Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is ideally be degree qualified in an Engineering or Information Technology Qualification, with proven hands-on experience in the Wind Industry.
Due to the nature of his role, you will be required to have various technical capabilities including:
-Experience with PLC coding and troubleshooting
-SCADA coding and troubleshooting
-Knowledge of network topologies
-MS SQL Database experience within large corporate IT systems and
-Data flow management
Additionally, experience with data logging, data analysis and data manipulation would be of benefit, as would a strong base for troubleshooting.
Automation of processes utilising Shell, C++ and VBA is also be desirable, as would an understanding of domain controllers, active directory, Schneider ViewX SCADA and OSI/Pi.
Due to potential travel within the role, a full valid driving license will be required.
