Commercial Manager JobWater Sector JobThe role comprises the provision of commercial management services to the Client Contract Managers, and working in association with Planners and Cost Controllers*, in the administration of projects from concept to completion, and close-out of the projects in the Client Administration Software (SAP). The Networks Program comprises approximately 250 live projects, principally focussed on the construction of clean and wastewater networks executed by a design and construct framework contractor, with an annual expenditure in excess of £100 million. The key roles and responsibilities includes:Raising new purchase orders for new projects Negotiation and agreement of Target Costs, including the use of an estimating database to benchmark and challenge contractors proposed Target Cost Conversions of Provisional Target Costs to Target Cost, with any adjustments to the GMPValidation of the Contractors Applications for Payment Preparation of payment certificates, input into SAP and ensuring contractors are paid on timeCost audits at project and program level Validating Purchase Order values to ensure there is sufficient money available for paymentPreparation and agreement of final accounts Project cost data capture at Target Cost and Final Account stages, and entering into the clients engineering estimating system Reporting on KPIs Cashflow forecasting Preparation of ad-hoc estimates from project briefs, for budget setting and / or change controlChange Control Contractual correspondence Monthly commercial reporting, including GMP v Outturn Cost comparisons and understanding the reasons for the variances.Experience in and a working knowledge of the Water Sector is essential, together with excellent The Cost Controllers are responsible for the administration of the project within the SAP environment, and undertake a monthly update and report generation function, which supports the Projects Control function.If you would like to hear more about this role please contact Chloe Firman on
