Commercial Manager Job Offshore Renewables - LondonCommercial Management JobRenewable Energy Job / Offshore Wind JobVery high profile senior appointment to lead the strategic development commercial policies, processes and guidance, and drive the implementation to achieve rewarding commercial outcomes for a business activities related to offshore wind power and electricity transmission, whilst ensuring the business is cognisant of associated risks. The Commercial Manager will lead, manage and develop the Commercial Team in performing commercial, programme control and planning functions for the renewable energy portfolio, working with External Relations, Policy & Planning, Energy and Technology, Legal and Finance and Project Control Teams. The Commercial Manager will drive the realisation and optimisation of value from their wind development portfolio, including Round 3 direct investments, contributing as a key member of the programme management team and taking specific responsibility for the Project Economics and Financing strategic workstream, financial appraisals, risk appraisals and commercial negotiations.The Commercial Manager will be a recognised power industry expert enabling broader and more in-depth understanding and engagement with the market. Transfer knowledge, challenge thinking and shape decision-making. Provide recognised in depth expertise relating to the power industry and to the development and investment in renewable energy, sharing and developing such expertise internally, and promoting the interests and standing of the organisation through regular external engagement at all levels. Authorities:Operate within the framework of authority agreed by the Director of Marine Estates Negotiate on behalf of the organisation in relation to the offshore wind programme, which when targets are realised will add more than £1bn to the value of the organisation Approve capital spend up to £50k on offshore wind programmes, within approved budgets Represent the organisation in public and private forums on matters relating to offshore renewablesCandidate specificationPower industry professional with credibility and experience gained in energy utilities and/or renewable developers High value contract negotiation in project development, asset operations and asset financing Development and financing of renewable energy assets, in particular offshore wind Experience of managing the commercial process including dealing with all necessary stakeholders. Working in joint ventures and partnerships Team development and management Programme and financial management of projects involving high capital expenditure Project controls, business planning, risk management Degree-qualified and preferably with a post-graduate qualification. MBA, financial, accounting or project management qualification or accreditation.
