Role:

 Reporting to our client's Technical Projects Director, the Project Manager will simultaneously oversee a group of 1 to 5 MWp Solar PV development and construction projects, each group typically being constructed by one EPC Contractor. You'll manage projects from feasibility through to technical acceptance.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract paid £55,000 pro rata. This is your opportunity to be a key team member of an exciting, high-growth and ambitious team.

• You will work as part of a wider team running your own briefs and travelling regularly between sites and offices.
• You will be an experienced Construction Project Management and be a consummate organizer of multiple complex projects
• You will pride yourself on your commitment to providing a high quality service and excel in gaining client confidence
• Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of UK Solar parks that meet performance and quality requirements.
• You will be responsible to sheppard your projects through several busy expert teams covering planning, property legals, contractual legals, high voltage grid connections, finance, solar technical design and construction management
• You will be the key project liaison with the landowner client
• You will set up and deliver best practice PM systems and controls
• You will cost plan and manage throughout the project cycle
• You will be pivotal within contract administration on your projects

Desired Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in an engineering discipline with a Project Management background
• Ideally a professional chartership with experience in the renewable energy sector
• You will have a successful track record in Project Managing multiple notifiable (under CDM 2007) UK construction projects managing structured communications with multiple stakeholders.
• You will have expert knowledge of fundamental PM systems and procedures in the construction industry.
• You will have a professional and diligent manner, hold structured weekly project progress meetings holding stakeholders to account for delivery and demonstrate a flexible approach to lead & succeed when things go wrong
• You will have an innate ability to communicate clearly and effectively to teams with
• strong presentation skills
• You will be strongly IT literate and conversant in MS Project.
• Be able to drive between sites
