The LANDesk Consulting Manager provides leadership to the Professional Services team that delivers consulting, training and implementation services to customers.

The Manager combines strategic and tactical skills and experience to coach and mentor the consulting and education delivery teams.

The key responsibilities include developing medium term services strategy and hiring and developing consultants who are able to help customers maximize ROI through deployment and use of LANDesk solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

. Lead Consultants to achieve services vision, develop a culture of accountability, and achieve targets
. Work with customers to ensure high quality services, return on their investment, and long-term retention
. Anticipate team training needs for LANDesk roadmap and solution changes and proactively provide development programs
. Evaluate and procure systems and software to support projects and improve business operations
. Maintain knowledge of best practices related to tools and techniques for effective solution implementation
. Manages the engagement schedule of consultants
. Works with partners to negotiate and schedule the outsourcing of service engagements as needed
. Interfaces with all global services, systems engineering, sales, product management and engineering to ensure the highest level of product knowledge and to provide feedback on LANDesk products, solutions and services as they are implemented at our customer sites
. Partners with sales to create and deliver successful services programs as well as assist with scoping new and existing customer requirements
. Act as an escalation point for PSO and Project Managers assisting with both internal and customer facing issues
. May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Required Skills and Experience:

. 1-3 years people management/leadership experience in high tech customer facing roles
. 6+ years' experience in delivering professional services or similar experience
. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills - both with internal project teams and customer stakeholders
. Time management, decision making, prioritization and organization skills
. Proven ability to build and develop teams for sustainable performance
. Demonstrated Project Management ability
. Business process experience
. Must be able to work well with others as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

. Experience working with a channel as sales and delivery partners
. Experience creating partner services programs
. Knowledge and previous experience of Project Management methodologies e.g. PRINCE 2
. Knowledge of LANDesk solutions: Systems, Security, Service, Process
