Consulting Role - Physics Graduate - Autumn 2017 Start Location: Cambridge Salary: circa 27K to 30K with excellent benefits Our client is a consultancy that focusses on generating business growth for their customers through innovation. Candidates must possess a high BSc / MSc from a leading University in a Physics related discipline. PhD level candidates will be considered. The anticipated start date is Autumn 2017. Client: Our client works on innovation projects with many large employers. They provide an intellectual, friendly and informal working environment. Role: The role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of consultants, addressing challenging projects and producing innovative recommendations. You will be expected to gain a detailed understanding of a specific customer requirement and to explore a range of technical solutions. Team members will apply their academic knowledge to real-world commercial problems. Consultants are likely to become involved in project management and to gain account management responsibilities. Requirements: Candidates should have a good grounding in the fundamentals of physics, and be able to apply them to activities such as order of magnitude estimates across a wide range of fields such as: mechanics, fluids, thermodynamics, soft condensed matter, and magnetism. Analytical aptitude is critical, experience in computational and experimental physics may add to the candidate's breadth, but is not essential. Candidates must be able and willing to travel in UK, Europe, USA.
