Contract Technical Writer - Environmental Management and Sustainable Procurement 1 year contract, max 490 per day Two contract roles working on the development of a Defence Standard for Environmental and Sustainability Management, to include Acquisition Environmental and Sustainable Procurement management requirements for organisations contracting with MOD. In these roles you will be responsible for drafting chapters and sections of the Defence Standard, and supporting a consultation process with external SMEs and experts from academia and industry. Requirements: Role 1 - Sustainable ProcurementKnowledge and expertise of sustainability issues in the defence environment essential.Fully conversant with BS8905, BS8903 and ISO10303-235 implementation essential.Understanding of issues associated with scarce and critical materials and security of supply essential.Understanding and expertise in sustainable procurement practices essential.Role 2 - Energy and EnvironmentKnowledge and expertise in environmental management systems essential.Fully conversant with ISO 14001 implementation in defence and civil organisations essential.Understanding of energy and emissions and associated standards and legislation essential. Both roles also require: Familiar with MOD acquisition processes and organisations essential.Familiar with CADMID cycle and ASG essential.Familiar with other environmental standards and MOD ASEMS/POEMS guidance desirable.Competent technical author with previous experience of writing standards desirable.Familiarisation with or previous experience of writing defence standards desirable.
