Job Title: Control Room Technician
Salary: £27,133 - £35,837 depending on skills and experience + annual bonus
Permanent | Full Time Hours
In this role, you will be initially involved with the safe release and return to service of wind turbines, monitoring of alarms and dispatch of plant to instruction. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety of our site based staff through lone worker and site logging processes and will assist with maintaining plant availability information to ensure effective planning of forecast running plans. As this is a shift position you will be expected to fulfil your duties per a rota system.
Subject to satisfactory progress and additional training, there will be future opportunities to progress through the various roles within the ROC shift team. Ideally you will be HNC educated.
Your Skills & Experience
To succeed, you should have strong IT skills and be prepared to work shifts to meet 24/7 operational requirements. Have a genuine passion for the industry is essential as is strong attention to detail, self-motivation and the ability to manage your own workload. Experience of generating plant, HV systems and authorisation under the Operational Safety Rules will be an advantage but this isn’t essential.
Training and progression opportunities will be provided through combination of in-house training and assessment initially for authorisation under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
