Deputy Package Managers - Overview

Centrica Energy requires a Deputy Package Manager to work at our Head Office in Windsor, Berkshire. The purpose of the Deputy roles are to ensure the delivery of packages on time, on budget, to specification and to the satisfaction of key stakeholders No accidents, harm to personnel or damage to the environment No negative impact to Centrica's reputation

Deputy Package Managers - The Role

• Provide support in the management of the contract to ensure delivery on time, on budget and to specification
• Provide support with the day to day point of contact with their allocated contractors
• Support the day to day management of site activities, where the client is acting as the Principal Contractor
• Support HSE at site in all cases
• Assist with ttechnical offers and specifications
• Support with the commercial offers
• Cross package integration i.e. ensuring that engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance and other key disciplines are adequately consulted during the design process
• Minimising claims and resolving those that do arise
• Client representation during design, fabrication, construction and commissioning
• Ensure interfaces with other contracts are identified and managed including commercial, schedule and technical interfaces.
• Ensure that key design documentation has the appropriate level of input from Engineering, Construction, Commissioning Operations & Maintenance and HSEQ.

Deputy Package Managers - The Person

• Technical/Educational: A degree in Engineering or similar discipline.
• Experience: An understanding of project management tools and techniques. Experience of working in a package environment
• Relationship: Strong communication skills & ability to work as part of a team package' environment.
