The Organisation 
Our client is a leading renewable energy investment, development and asset management business. Their UK renewable business is developing a large portfolio of new projects across southern England and Wales. This is an exciting time to join one of the UK's most significant and fastest growing renewable energy businesses. This highly thought of Renewable Energy firm is looking to grow its Renewable Energy sectors including Solar PV, Wind, Hydo and Marine.

To achieve this, they require experienced Electrical Design Engineers with a background working on Transmission and Distribution projects in the UK.

The role 
The grid application technical manager for high value commercial Solar PV installations. Our client is looking for a strong Electrical Engineer from a consultancy background with a knowledge of grid application. You will design High Voltage (HV) substations and new connections for generators to the National Grid or local distribution network. You will also be responsible for checking the work of engineers reporting to you and carrying out project management duties. Further responsibilities will include power systems studies, site surveys and specifications. A background working on UK projects in a similar role is required.

You'll need a consultative approach, high levels of commercial acumen coupled with tenacity and a strong delivery ethic.
You are qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in electrical engineering.
