Description
Thatcher Energy are currently recruiting for a tidal engineering client based in the Republic of Ireland who specialize in the design and manufacture of marine turbines.
Due to their current requirements they are looking to appoint an Electrical Project Engineer based in the Republic of Ireland with wave, tidal, hydro, marine or related offshore experience.
The scope of the work package is, but not limited to, the following:
Designing, installing and commissioning electrical systems and components to operate turbines
The provision of electrical engineering support to commercial projects
The management and procurement of components with regards to budgets, schedules, quality and reports
Ensuring project plans, method statements & commissioning documents are completed on time
Directing design reviews and risk assessment workshops
Interacting with the mechanical design team, suppliers, internal customers, and clients when required
Identifying and potential risks and opportunities in the projects
Following all Health and Safety procedures.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant offshore engineering discipline and experience in system commissioning, power generation/conversion and distribution networks. Experience of offshore/subsea electrical equipment selection and the design, install and commissioning of electrical panels and PLC systems is also a necessity.
The successful candidate will have experience in managing contractors of a diverse range of skills and also have excellent interpersonal, technical and commercial skills.
Potential international travel to visit clients may be included in the scope of the role.
This is a permanent opportunity paying between £35k-£45k.
