Electrical Project Engineer - South West

One of the UK's leading green electricity companies are currently going through a huge growth in their investment within solar, wind, wave and tidal.
 
One of the main growth areas has been their investment in wind farms.  They have a very strong pipeline of current and future builds taking place. They are also working on a number of really exciting joint ventures throughout the UK, USA and Australia.
 
To support his unprecedented growth they are seeking an additional Electrical Project Engineer who must have previous wind farm experience.
 
The position is based out of the companies' offices in Gloucestershire although travel will be required to sites throughout the UK.
 
The role will work closely with the project development team and you'll be the main point of contact in the Electrical Engineering team.  Additionally you'll have Project Management responsibilities for all electrical requirements of the entire wind farm construction process from initial design and development through to final project handover.
 
It is an absolute pre-requisite that you have previous wind farm experience, ideally within the UK but the client may look at experienced electrical Wind people with experience overseas.
 
Essential skills:
  • Previous experience working within a wind farm as an Electrical Engineer
  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Proven Project Management skills
  • Previous experience of the Grid Connection process and Grid Connection Assessments
  • Power Generation & Transmission experience within LV, HV and control systems such as SCADA and PLC's
  • Full UK Driving License
 
Candidates who meet the above criteria but with Construction experience and a sound knowledge of current CDM regulations will be looked at favourably.
