Our client is one of the leading Syndicates with the Lloyd's of London Insurance Marketplace.An excellent opportunity has arisen for a numerate graduate to join their successful Energy Underwriting team as an Underwriting Assistant.This opportunity would ideally suit an Economics or Math Graduate with some exposure to the Lloyd's Market on the Underwriting side, especially with any working knowledge of the Global Energy Market.Supporting the Team Underwriters and Operations Manager, you will be required to work at the box and in the main office where your duties will include:Creating and maintaining Syndicate records.Entry of risk data into Underwriting system, copying and scanning slips.Liaising with Brokers to obtain necessary information and detail for accurate input of Underwriting data.Extensive use of Excel Spreadsheets; V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.A high level of numeracy is essential in order to analyse and interpret financial information accurately in relation to risks being Underwritten by the team.Strong interpersonal skills are also needed in order to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with Brokers, Underwriters and other staff within the business.Applicants are welcomed from Graduates with a strong academic record in the numerate disciplines who would be keen for an opportunity to join a leading Lloyd's Underwriter within the Energy sector.
