Environmental Consultant - Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Location: Newcastle, UK Our client, a wholly independent, multidisciplinary firm of designers, planners, engineers, and technical specialists is seeking an Environmental Consultant - EIA to join their growing Environment Team in Newcastle. For the right candidate, this opportunity provides great scope for career development and advancement.The RoleAs part of the continued growth of the firm's established multi-disciplinary Environment Team in Scotland and North East England, we are looking for an Environmental Consultant to assist in a multi-disciplinary team. The role will involve: . Delivering self-managed technical work related to own specialism into projects. Preparing Environmental Statements for own specialism. Contributing to other projects using wider environmental skills and knowledge. Assisting with the coordination of EIAs and other environmental reports. Project managing small projects. Planning own workload, looking one month ahead. Producing project related correspondence and reports, including technical report writing. Client facing on projects. Contributing to bids and proposals for new work. Co-ordinating work of junior staff Requirements and Skills. Typically, four or more years of post-graduate consultancy experience. Degree qualified in environmental science or other related field. Ideally a post-graduate qualification of MSc or higher. Track record of working on environmental projects (onshore and/or offshore), in a consulting environment. Developing specialist skills in an environmental topic/area. Able to flex skills and approach across a wide range of project types. Studying towards professional qualification or part qualified. Project management experience, including QA procedures and financial systems. Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment. Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills. Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal). Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges.
