Key Responsibilities: Every day act as a safety role model exhibiting best practice behaviourDevelop and lead the prioritized annual ORM improvement plans and safety pillar of the Manufacturing PlaybookSupport team leaders with accident investigations to identify and close out root causeConduct monthly safety audits, behavioural observations and quarterly safety inspectionsCarry out internal safety and environmental related trainingMonitor and track ORM related performance and report through the designated channels on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basisMain point of contact for external bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, Insurance assessors, and the Local Authority on safety and health related matters Essential Experience: Educated to degree level (Relevant safety, environmental or engineering degree)NEBOSH Health & Safety Diploma or equivalent, ideally with an environmental qualification as wellCurrently at or able to qualify for at least Grad IOSH statusThorough understanding of ISO14001 requirements, and measures required to implementExperience in food manufacturing or a similar FMCG producerAble to carry out risk assessments, training and accident and incident investigationsCompetent in the use of computer based management systems and databasesExperience of implementing Business Continuity Management would be an advantage
