Environmental Health Officer (Housing) - South London - 25-32 Ltd Umbrella or PAYE A client of mine is looking for a qualified Environmental Health Officer who specialises in food to work on a 3 month contract. Candidates will have experience in private sector housing with excellent knowledge of housing legislation and a degree in Environmental Health approved by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health's Registration Board, e.g. MSc Environmental Health, BSc (Hons) Environmental Health or appropriate Housing Surveying qualification. A good working knowledge, application and experience of the Housing Act 2004, including Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) and HMO Licensing is essential with respect to enforcement of standards in privately rented homes .You must be qualified under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS). The workload will be varied and you will be required to meet targets, maintain and update accurate inspection records and actions using information technology. You will also need to be well organised and responsive to all of our customers and have excellent communication and organisational skills and be comfortable engaging with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
