My client is a leading survey specialist company and they are looking for an environmental monitoring technician to join their team.
In this role you will be operating in a mobile (home based ) capacity. This being the case you will need to be location between St Albans, Hertford, Harlow, Epping, Chigwell and Edgeware.
A typical day will consist of the below:
Planning work load in terms of scheduling sites to attend and route planning.
Once on site you will need to work from Utility Maps and plans detailing the locations of underground pipes.
Once you have identified the location of the utilities you will need to walk along specific route with an air quality sampling monitor to collect data.
Once this data is collected you will need to complete a basic report detailing your findings.
In order to be suitable for this role you MUST HAVE the below:
-Full drivers license ( UK )
-The ability to locate position and route plan from maps
Ideally but not essential candidates will have:
-Previous air monitoring / sample collection experience, although any sort of sample collection such as dust, water, noise or similar would be ideal.
-Experience of working with utility maps
-The ability or previous experience of working in a self-sufficient capacity with minimum supervision.
On offer is a full time permanent position with pays 18-20,000 + package and bonus based on experience.
In addition to this you will be provided with a company van and petrol card
The role is based worked a standard 40 hours week from Monday to Friday. Typical working hours are between 7am - 6pm but there is flexibility to start early or late to suit your personal situation.
