An excellent opportunity for and experienced Environment Technician has arisen within our Technical Waste Department at our Head Office in Huntingdon.
Reporting to the Technical Manager the role will comprise a mix of site based and office based activities and will involve travel between the company's sites located in East Anglia and the East Midlands.
The Technician will carry out environmental monitoring at our operational facilities and contracts including groundwater, surface water, leachate, gas, dust and air monitoring.
In addition to the site based activities the role will also include for managing the monitoring data base and results, tracking and validating laboratory analysis, maintaining the company equipment and calibration register and assisting with environmental reporting of the monitoring data.
About the role:-
. Undertake environmental monitoring at Mick George Ltd operational facilities.
. Manage and monitor all data base and results from material testing.
. To be responsible for the upkeep of all tools and equipment used in monitoring.
. Carry out monitoring on groundwater, surface water, leachate, gas, dust and air monitoring.

. Strong work ethic and a practical approach.
. Ability to work without direct supervision.
. Computer literate.
. Numerate and excellent attention to detail.
. Good communicator both verbally and via e mail.
. Ability to work to deadlines.
. Problem Solver.
. Good time management skills.
. Good knowledge of general Health & Safety requirements.
. Experience of environmental work and knowledge of environmental legislation desirable.
. Experience in waste management or construction materials industry desirable.
. A full clean driving licence is essential to the role.
. Experience of data management and interpretation using computer software.
