North France, site based
1 year fixed-term contract
 
Our client is looking to subcontract a Bilingual French construction engineer with engineering training and previous wind farm experience to act as Owner's Engineer's Site Representative on a number of French onshore wind farm construction sites.
 
Responsibilities will include:
 
Regular follow-up of contractors progress on site, in terms of rate of progress and compliance with contractual specifications and agreed design
Maintenance of progress diary
Attendance at weekly site progress meetings and preparation of minutes
Inspection of equipment delivered to site
Witnessing of erection and commissioning checks and tests (with some support from PMSS engineers)
HSE inspections & reporting
Presenting and explaining site progress to client and their representatives
Preparation and follow-up of punch list
Review of as-built documentation
Acting on behalf of our client's Project Manager as required
 
Role will cover a number of sites with presence on each site varying from 1 to 3 days per week depending on project status. A high degree of mobility will therefore be required.
