An experienced Geo-Environmental/Geotechnical Engineer is needed to work directly under the Principal Engineer within a well-respected consultancy based in Birmingham. You will have the chance to work on a diverse range of medium to large scale infrastructure schemes for the private sector.
Once feet are under the table, you will be required to design, implement and supervise ground investigation, produce Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental interpretive reports, risk assessments and remedial strategies etc. You will also have the chance to get involved in the Geotechnical foundation design and recommendation process.
Currently you must be able to produce phase 1 desk top studies, manage site investigation activities (Inc Trial Pitting, Gas Monitoring etc.) and factual reports. Also, being experienced within remediation of contaminated land (Phase 3) is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have: *Degree in a relevant environmental science/engineering discipline and have a *Minimum of 2 year's practical experience within a UK consultancy. *You must have a working knowledge in current governing standards within the Ground investigation and Geotechnical supervision on site
