Job Title: Governance, Reporting and Quality Lead
Salary: £49,565 – £65,458 depending on skills and experience
Permanent Full Time Hours with Flexible Working Patterns Available.
The roll out of smart meters to every home in Great Britain is one of the biggest infrastructure projects the British Energy sector has seen in decades, and like all energy suppliers, SSE are busy installing new Smart Meters in customers’ homes and business across the UK.
To support Smart delivery, SSE has a large and complex Technology Programme of change. This is supported by the Smart Programme Office who are seeking a new candidate to lead the Governance, Reporting & Quality function.
You’ll ensure the programme meets its strategic objectives through establishing consistent quality practices and standards. You’ll manage a team of PMO Analysts, driving the group towards a consistent governance model. You’ll be responsible for the programme governance and assurance against standards, and take ownership for driving reporting excellence and action completion.
Working with other Managers in the PMO you’ll remove obstacles that impede delivery, ensure engagement with stakeholders, and support and coach Project and Programme Managers with all aspects of governance, quality assurance and reporting.
Your Skills and Experience
Ideally, you’ll have either PRINCE 2 Practitioner certificate, PMI PMP or APM Project Management qualification, certification or functional knowledge in P3O or MSP guidance processes would be of benefit.
You’ll demonstrate excellent understanding of project lifecycle management, both Agile and Waterfall, and the application of programme governance. You should display a diligent and detail focused approach, and be able to express complex data in a concise manner.
