Our Advisory teams are growing, and we are looking for candidates who have a keen interest in infrastructure projects; energy; resilience & sustainability, digital technologies and transportation. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, working on a broad range of projects: from advising on procurement of major projects; providing due diligence on global M&A transactions and helping our clients to assess the cost and risks associated with their investment decisions. Arup works with Federal, State and City agencies, with developers and contractors and with major financial institutions and investors.

Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:

*

Request, review and manage relevant project data, market studies, financial and economic plans

*

Conduct business planning, economic, contractual, and/or financial analysis

*

Support in the assessment of the required capital cost for new infrastructure projects

*

Help our clients to assess the optimum procurement strategy for new projects and manage these to a successful conclusion

*

Interact with other consultants, within Arup and externally

*

Prepare analyses, draw conclusions, make recommendations, and coordinate/manage relevant project inputs from other consultants

*

Review and/or develop financial models, economic cost-benefit analyses, feasibility analyses, and market studies

*

Prepare and deliver presentations of the above to satisfy client needs and goals

*
Develop marketing pitches; market analysis and prepare proposals

*

Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment

*

Write papers and present them at industry conferences.

Qualifications

Required:

*

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or Finance

*
3.0 GPA or above

*

Completion of at least one relevant internship while pursuing the above degree(s)

*

Interest in infrastructure projects, finance, project management, sustainability & resilience, project finance and procurement

*

Strong quantitative skills with good knowledge of MS Excel

*

Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally

*

Ability to work independently; make decisions on your projects and also to work collaboratively within project teams

*
Desire to work on multiple projects simultaneously

*
Ability to work to specific timelines to meet our clients’ objectives

Preferred:

*

Master's degree in Engineering, Construction, Finance, Economics, Business

*
1-2 years of relevant work experience

*

Working understanding of project development process and project finance

*

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

*

Flexibility and Out-of-the-Box innovative thinking
