Grid Connection Manager - Wind & Solar - South Africa

Our client is a leading developer looking for an experienced Grid Connection Manager to identify grid capacity and manage the connection of Wind & Solar projects to the grid.  

Within this role you will identify locations where there is grid capacity available, liaise with the Development team to assist in site selections and apply for grid connection. You will project manage the grid connection for all projects in South Africa and therefore be the sole point of contact with all external parties regarding any issues.

To be considered for this role you will need to have experience in the power sector and demonstrate a high level of knowledge in connecting the generator to the grid (transmission and distribution). You should have a knowledge of design, construction and commissioning. Candidate should have an understanding engineering software packages (Auto CAD, GIS, dynamic simulation software) and generator technologies (SCADA) .You will also have a Degree in power engineering.
