Currently our client is a leading European energy provider who develops, constructs and maintains offshore wind parks. The HSE Site Manager will play a key role in offshore marine construction of offshore wind farms. The key responsibility with be to decide how HSE is to be handled on Wind Powers Construction sites (agreed with the Site Manager and HSE Manager).


Responsibilities

• Be the focal point for HSE on site
• Coordinate the HSE activities of the different Contractors and proactively follow up on their performance
• Ensure that Contractors on site are working according to their own procedures
• Ensure that HSE information is being communicated
• Ensure that Contractor documents are being reviewed prior to start-up of work
• Ensure that the Project complies with all relevant requirements
• Secure the implementation and usage of the project procedures
• Site plan review, preparation of and recommended safety set-up
• Consult with Site Management on HSE related issues for resolution

Tasks

• Reporting to Site Manager
• Communication with Installation Managers
• Review of DE HSE documents
• Ensure that Competence Assessment of Contractors on site are carried out
• Ensure that HSE reviews of Contractor documents have been carried out
• Enforcing HSE site rules
• Ensure that the site adheres to safety rules and regulations
• Monthly HSE reporting
• Follow up on accidents and incidents
• Coordination with Lead Marine Coordinator
• Chair Safety Committee Meetings
• Chair bi-weekly safety meetings
• Participate in Construction Meetings
• Carry out HSE audits and inspections of Contractors
• Ensure that Contractors adhere to their own HSE requirements
• Provide HSE feedback to Project HSE Manager
• Perform daily walk arounds on site
• Ensure site inductions are carried out
• Perform tool box talks on weekly basis

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience of HSE Site management within construction
