HVAC Mechanical Engineer (French Speaking)

London

£30-40,000

This award-winning building services design practise, with important landmark buildings in their portfolio, are seeking a fluent French speaking Mechanical or M&E Engineer to work on new orders coming in from the French market. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who is looking to expand their experience.

Responsibilities

Work within an existing engineering and architectural team on design projects for buildings, particularly on projects for French speaking clients

• Work on a wide range of projects and sectors, which all require a thoughtful and high quality approach to design and delivery.
• Translate instructions, design briefs and reports - you must have a strong technical understanding of engineering language in both English and French

Skills and Experience required

• Strong practical design experience
• Fluent French. The engineer will be required to take part in technical meetings held entirely in French, and to produce drawings and reports in French.
• You will preferably be Chartered or working towards Chartership
• Have a detailed understanding of HVAC system design.
• Experience of public health and electrical design
• Experience of site-work.
• Experience of leading small groups of engineers, either taking primary responsibility for smaller projects, or leading the mechanical design on mid-size or large projects.
• The successful candidate will be a self-starter, who will work well under pressure and be able to prioritise a highly varied workload.
