The Organisation

Our client is a leading international renewable investment company. Based between the UK and Dubai the directors are among the most connected individuals in the international Energy market.
This fantastically exciting client is looking to work with a Hydro Development expert to develop their interests in the Balkans, India and Turkey. There is the opportunity for Equity / or profit share in relation to satisfactory project completion.

The role

Reporting to the Managing Director you will work alongside him to identify and test project feasibility. There are currently a number of projects in the Balkans close to full permitting but further opportunities and current business models will need to be addressed.
This role will involve a lot of the front work involved in large scale projects so experience in the detailed planning and financing required for Hydro projects will be essential. Typical project size will range from 5MW to 25MW and a lowest typical value of $10m.
There will be a project team and external consultants involved to deal with areas such as EPC agreements but a details knowledge of permitting and the ability to ask the right questions is essential.
The role can be based from home so your location is not important but the ability to travel internationally as and when required is essential.

Specific responsibilities

Looking into site leads and deciding on suitability for development
Understand and link Hydro permitting to local regulations
Analyse business models and challenge
Use investor perspective to maximise developer opportunity
Drive the process of development of sites by ensuring that all required paper work is appropriate and complete
Ensure that local communities are kept informed of all proposed projects and that their views are incorporated into the planning application process

Experience and skills

· Successful track record of managing senior development and in site selection and site design for large scale Hydro projects

· Strong commercial acumen and investor perspective on Hydro Developments

· Experience on multi million pound Hydro developments

· Ability to think creatively to successfully overcome obstacles and achieve objectives

· Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
