Installation Specialist

My client, a leading international company in wind turbines is looking for an intelligent and enthusiastic person to join their offshore wind department in the role of an Installation Specialist.

Role and Responsibilities

As an Installation Specialist you will support the offshore engineering team by providing specialised knowledge and advanced solutions for future and present offshore wind projects.

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing harbor and installation vessel layouts
• Preparing loading and installation plans
• Selecting existing lifting and installation equipment and specifying new equipment
• Identifying operation criteria in cooperation with the project department
• Designing sea fastening in cooperation with external partners
• Obtaining approvals from Marine Warranty Surveyors
• Obtaining crane approvals

 Supporting the sales and project department until the first turbine is installed

Skills and Qualifications

It is essential the successful applicant possesses the following attributes:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Civil Engineering

 3+ years of experience from the offshore wind industry or from a consultancy firm or wind turbine installation company.
