Description
One of the UK's leading renewable energy developers and operators, who develops, builds and operates offshore wind farms along the coasts of several European countries are looking for an Interface Engineer to work in the Offshore Engineering team who are involved in projects from the development stage through to design, construction and operation.To fill this challenging integrative role in one of our projects, we are looking for an interface engineer with the following responsibilities:
- Co-ordination of engineering work packages in close collaboration with the work package managers
- Definition of specific actions required from the different technical disciplines in all phases of a project, from design to construction and operation
- Continuous interaction and information exchange with discipline engineers regarding technical interfaces
- Resolution of engineering issues at interfaces Support of contract negotiations
- Checking and matching of technical specifications with regard to technical interfaces
- Coordination of the project certification process in the design phase Preparation and application of interface management tools (e.g. interface matrix) throughout the project lifecycle
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, industrial engineering, natural sciences or comparable discipline
- Knowledge in the field of (renewable) energy technology, process technology, or related
- Technical disciplines Broad, interdisciplinary skill base and generalist mind-set
- Proactive, creative and result-oriented with good organising abilities
- Team player with strong interpersonal communication skills
- Previous work / project experience beneficial Excellent command of English, other EU languages an advantage
