Job Title: Land Manager
Salary: SS06 £31,345 - £41,396 plus car/car allowance
Temporary position or internal secondment with flexible working patterns available, 37 hours
The Land Managers within Scottish Hydro Electric (SHE) Transmission plc. have responsibility for securing robust landowner agreements to help to deliver programmes of Large Capital Projects across Base Capex, Customer Connections and Strategic Wider Works portfolios as well as liaising with the Transmission Environmental teams to deliver strategies for securing all necessary statutory permissions.
As a Land Manager you’ll work within our team on the transmission portfolio of Base Capex, Customer Connections and Strategic Wider Works project; ensuring project development and delivery is in line with transmission business priorities. As part of the role you’ll also prepare, monitor, implement and control strategies to assemble all necessary rights in land within agreed structures, required to deliver electricity transmission projects to ensure land agreements (e.g. servitudes, wayleaves and land purchase) are secured within the required timescales to minimise project risk.
Your Skills and Experience
You’ll understand energy networks and the industry we operate in, which should include governance and funding with the objective of ascertaining when statutory consents are required for electricity transmission projects. This will also include effective liaison with the Transmission Environmental Team to develop and implement strategies to secure, monitor and control the consents.

Transmission operates under licence as Scottish Hydro Electric (SHE) Transmission plc, responsible for the transmission of electricity in the north of Scotland. We own and maintain the 132kV, 275kV and 400kV electricity transmission network in our licence area. Our network comprises of underground cables, overhead wooden poles, steel towers and electricity substations, and it extends over a quarter of the UK land mass across some of its most challenging terrain.
