Hays are working alongside a successful UK wide Environmental Consultancy who specialise in renewable energy and sustainable development. The client provides expert technical, environmental and planning support to utilities, developers, industry, communities and the public sector throughout the entire project life-cycle from feasibility to implementation. Due to increasing work demand we have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Noise Consultant to join the team. You will be required to support the senior team on a range of renewable and development projects and assist in growing the services and profile of the business. The position will see the successful candidate split between office and site work. A strong emphasis is placed on accuracy and consistency in the undertaking of measurements, analysis of noise level data and calculations. In addition to the technical skills, the individual must have excellent written and oral communication skills, team working abilities and the professionalism to work independently.The successful candidate will have an Acoustics or Science based degree with 2 - 4 years working experience within an environmental consultancy. A thorough understanding of microsoft excel is essential, whilst knowledge of environmental noise measurement and national standards and legislation would be advantageous.Recent graduates in the above disciplines may be considered.A full clean driving licence is a must.
