A leading Classification Society, have established an urgent requirement for an Offshore Princiapal Structural Engineer. They are currently looking for a Principal Structural Engineer, to work as part of a dedicated team in a client-facing role. Have you...Got a broad knowledge of floating units of all types (and in particular those related to hydrocarbon extraction)?Experience in design and analysis aspects of hull structures and mooring systems?Experience in structural analysis of floating structures? Knowledge of relevant codes and standards relating to floating units and systems?The role will involve: Lead a team of project engineers.Liaise closely with client to ensure contract deliverables are met.Overview and participate in the creation of workscopes and strategies for offshore inspections, including sailing with NDE specialists on suitable NDE techniques.Reporting of completed surveys.Technical assessment of structural component/system anomalies (floating offshore structures).Recommending methods for repair for the above systems.
