Job Title: Onshore Wind Maintenance Engineering Manager
Salary: £51,100 – £77,300 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance + annual bonus
Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available
Our Onshore Wind Maintenance Engineering Team hold responsibility for safely operating and maintaining the fleet of Onshore Wind Generation Assets in a changing business environment. The team ensure the available resource is fully utilised and allocated on a priority basis whilst delivering to maximise production.
The Maintenance Engineering Team have three core functions
-O&M technical support
- Maintenance Strategy
- Business Technical Assurance and Compliance
As Onshore Wind Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for making strategic
recommendations and improvements to optimise efficiency of operations and maintenance. You’ll
develop the annual budgets, maximising innovative maintenance practices which are deemed
relevant, sustainable and cost effective. You’ll ensure that the plant and your team are safe,
adhering to operating practices and assets being managed in accordance with the relevant countries
(UK / ROI) standards for health, safety and environmental compliance.
Your Skills & Experience
You will be an experienced Engineering Manager with a working knowledge of the diverse range
engineering plant and equipment relevant to Wind generation sites with a fundamental
understanding of all engineering disciplines.
You will have experience in diverse plant maintenance and operation with comprehensive
understanding of maintenance management and business operation; including, knowledge of
statutory maintenance and SHE requirements.
You are likely to be degree qualified in a technical discipline (mechanical, electrical or C&I) or
qualified with equivalent experience.
Furthermore, you will have a solid understanding of Renewable Business and the impact of
operational activities on profitability.
You will bring demonstrable leadership skills as you will be responsible for managing a team of Engineers and their continual development. You will lead by example and will encourage discussion, interaction, continuous improvement and problem solving in a collaborative, team environment ensuring excellence in safety practices are adhered to at all times.
