My client is a large engineering firm who own and operate several onshore wind farms across the North East, due to increased workload they are currently looking to employ an experienced wind turbine technician to work on operations, maintenance and repair of the turbines on site.
Successful candidates must be experienced technicians with solid experience in the mechanical and electrical maintenance/repair of multi mega-watt wind turbines.
Responsibilities -
- Planned and preventative maintenance
- Fault diagnosis and repair
- Emergency repairs
- Upkeep of repair records
Experience
- Working on multi MW commercial wind turbines
- Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repair skills
- Working at heights
This is a great opportunity for experienced technicians looking for the security of a permanent role within a prestigious engineering firm, the role is based in the North East so ideally candidates will be based in this area. The nature of this role will require extensive travel across the region and candidates must be prepared to stay away from home on occasion.
A full clean driving license would be advantageous.
