Job Title: Operational Support Lead

Location: Perth

Salary: £36,900 – £56,500 depending on skills and experience + excellent benefits + annual bonus

Permanent Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available

The Role

As Operational Support Lead, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant revenue generation of all activities within the Renewable Operations Centre (ROC).

This will include grid code compliance, connection agreements, balancing mechanism, CapMech and other operational contracts, along with the training and authorisation of shift staff.

You will lead the operational integration of new or existing plant into the Control Room by bringing together existing plant knowledge, appropriate safety rule sets, relevant alarm management standards and operational best practice.

Interacting closely with Energy Portfolio Management regarding the management of Mandatory Service Agreements, Commercial Service Agreements and Commercial Agreements applicable to Renewable Operations.

You’ll also work closely with other ROC leads from the long-term plan through to the real time operations, minimising impact on operations and maximising availability of the grid and plant.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, we are looking for you to have an excellent understanding of High Voltage electrical systems and arrangements relating to Renewables. Knowledge of Operational /Generation System and Wind Turbine safety rules will also be necessary. An understanding of how the Electricity System is operated with regard to the System, Transmission & Distribution operations will be necessary, as will a working knowledge of Hydraulic systems and their limitations.
