Job Title: Pensions Analyst Location: London or Guildford; Client Sites Salary: 25,000 - 35,000 The company is one of the UK's leading independent consulting firms that specialises in Pensions, Systems and Data. The main purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise and support for delivery of consulting projects for our clients. These consulting projects will focus primarily on the following areas in both the pensions and wider financial services' arena: DataSystemsAdministration Key Responsibilities: Preparing analyses using SQL and other data interrogation techniquesProducing spreadsheets and similar to interpret dataProducing reports on findings of data analysisInvolvement in future developments / enhancements on our existing data analysis and data management platformsProducing the programs to implement these enhancements where ableFollow business assurance procedures to ensure quality standards are achievedFollow information security procedures as directed in all areas of operationFollow business assurance procedures to ensure quality standards are achievedFollow information security procedures as directed in all areas of operationPreparing analyses using SQL and other data interrogation techniquesEnsure data is mapped correctlyProducing spreadsheets and similar to interpret dataHighlight anomalies with dataHighlight risks and issues for further investigationInvolvement in future developments / enhancements on our existing data analysis and data management platformsProducing the programs to implement these enhancements where able Knowledge and Experience: Understanding of database structuresUse of business applicationsKnowledge of pensions would be an advantageWillingness to learnExperience of system design issuesAwareness of business analysis conceptsRole holder likely to have come from a pensions' technical admin backgroundLikely to have attained a 2:1 degree in a relevant disciplineExcellent communication skills - a high standard of written and verbal EnglishComfortable working to deadlinesFamiliar with data processingAble to manage client pressuresAptitude to engage effectively with clients Technical Skills: Excellent MS Office skills - especially excelPensions' knowledge - legislation; terminology; calculationsData analysis techniques and processesFamiliar with project management methodologiesSQL intermediateProgramming ability in VBA or would be a support in this role To apply for this role, please click APPLY to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.
