Portfolio Management Analyst - The Vacancy:
- The Portfolio Management team require an analyst to support the analytical insights and maintenance of a management information system
- This has been developed over the past three years and contains extensive profiled Pricing and Billing data for the entire BGB portfolio.
- Analysis is requested across all segments for strategic purposes, MI reporting, customer insights, customer billing and proposition support
Key responsibilities
- Analysing the BGB portfolio for business insights
- Initiating new areas of research across BGB profitability and behaviour
- Establishing and implementing new requirements for use of the MI system
- Actively promoting and communicating the capability of a complex system to all segments of BGB
- Realising the potential of data across the business
- Liaising with other parts of the business to investigate discrepancies in customer data
- Supporting other teams in their data reconciliations and analysis
- Reporting findings in a clear and concise manner
- Proactively maintaining the accuracy of the MI system data

Portfolio Management Analyst - The Person
- Strong analytical skills including experience of working with large, complex spreadsheets and databases
- SQL skills an advantage but not essential
- Excellent eye for detail and ability to analyse complex information
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Initiative and motivation to address issues as they arise
- Knowledge of the energy industry and energy pricing an advantage but not essential
- Presentation skills to present to stakeholders.
- Logical and clear approach to problem solving.
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise deliverables and plan accordingly.
