Project Engineer Operations (Controls) We are currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer based in Aberdeen with a Global Oil and Gas Service company looking to expand due to the increase in new projects with leading Operators.
Responsibilities:
Providing comprehensive operations support, in relation to control systems onshore and offshore operations, ensuring all requirements are met.
Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with regulatory standards.
Interface directly with customer on technical issues relating to controls systems equipment.
Providing technical support and liaison with other departments (e.g. Project Mgt, Workshop, Service, etc.)
May be required to work in the clients office (Aberdeen area only) to provide a direct operations support service.
Attend Customer morning rig calls as required and follow up on any actions/issues as a matter of priority.
Participate in pre-operational support activities such as equipment lists, spares identification, drawing and procedure modifications, work scopes and personnel requirements.
Confirm the system engineering documentation is established, reviewed and accepted by client prior to installation, and updated as required during the project.
Ensure pre and post job briefings are carried out with Technical Service Personnel (TSP), ensuring all reports are complete.
Provide competent input to risk assessments related to equipment and operations.
Inform Product Groups of necessary engineering changes to product drawings, DBIs and procedures.
Co-ordinate investigation and disposition of non-conformances. Investigate and provide feedback to Product Groups on any issues related to the performance of equipment. Facilitate closure of any such issues.
Participate in meetings and review boards as required.
Ability to oversee and supervise Site Integration Testing (SIT) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
