I am currently recruiting for a QSHE advisor to work for an FM Service Provider - homebased covering the Midlands region. Duties incude: To undertake the effective management of the Health & Safety systems on the Client contracts paying due regard to QSHE system management thereby ensuring that all operations comply with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. Ensure managers, staff and sub-contractors understand and recognise H&S systems/processes and any client specific requirements. Monitor safe systems of work high risk activities such as management of confined spaces, pressure systems, working with asbestos, hot work, HV/LV electrical systems. Facilitate the development of robust risk management processes and procedures Accident Investigation & Reporting Investigate accidents and dangerous occurrences and provide reports in accordance with company and where required to Client Representative. System Compliance and Auditing Conduct regular planned and ad-hoc site safety inspections of contract works activity to monitor levels of safe working practice. Issue improvement plans/advice as required Review implementation of control measures and monitor their use as per risk assessment process Escalate all non conformances where agreed action plans have not been completed to agreed timescales. Review and monitor use of working file Health & Safety Training Knowledge skills & experience Working towards CMIOSH High level understanding of the framework of QSHE legislation and a full understanding of all prevailing standards and initiatives Facilities Management experience High level of understanding of M&E systems and safe systems of work Knowledge of Interserves business model, vision, cultural expectations Able to work in a team in a complex, fast moving business and deliver excellent results within tight timescales and financial controls Capable of implementing new QSHE processes and business systems Able to apply QSHE knowledge in away that delivers practical, business led solutions Good sound business development awareness Excellent negotiating skills with clients and management teams The company offer a broad range of support services, both as fully managed "bundled" packages and as discrete services for specific needs.
