Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Engineer
Location: Clunie Power Station/Perth
Salary: SSE7 £35,147 – £46,418 depending on skills and experience + excellent benefits + car/cash allowance + annual bonus
Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available
They key purpose of this position is to provide contract and commercial management services across the hydro operations business to help maximise the overall value that hydro delivers. You will perform the role of a Commercial Manager on various construction and development projects, manage requirements in relation to all necessary procurement interfaces on behalf of the hydro business, manage key post contract activities/requirements and also provide general commercial management service/advice to both internal and external stakeholders. You will be experienced in contract negotiation/drafting and experience in tendering/procurement activity, experience in commercial management of project related works and demonstrate suitable experience of relevant cost management/reporting activities.
In addition, you will actively support in the management of a contractor governance process and develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have suitable experience in line with the above key competencies. A preference is to hold a minimum of HND in a relevant discipline such as Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or an appropriate business-related discipline, however this is not a perquisite for applications. It is preferable for candidates to have suitable experience in renewable energy or an operational environment/industry for example construction, civil engineering, M&E etc.
As you will be interacting with multi-disciplined teams its essential that you have good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
