Job Title: Renewable Engineer – Controls and Instrumentation
Location: Clunie Power Station (Pitlochry)
Salary: £39, 413 - £52,055 depending on skills and experience + annual bonus
Permanent Full Time Hours
In this role, you will be privileged to be part of the team looking after SSE Renewable fleet to secure and grow the business for the future. You will be responsible for planning the optimisation and delivery of control and instrumentation works on Renewable Operations plant.
Working as part of a project team you will be undertaking all aspects of project management and Engineering on Control & Instrumentation projects from the initial brief through to project closure.
Working closely with other team members and stakeholders you will ensure that the projects are scoped and executed in line with the company project management process.
You will have the flexibility to work at all Renewable business sites as required you will work in accordance with Company standards and procedures, ensuring plant income is maximised and risks assessed.
Your Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should be educated to a minimum of HNC in electrical or control and instrumentation engineering and have previous experience of C & I project delivery. You will be a self-starter, who will own and have the ability to deliver optimised technical solutions.
Although industry experience in a similar role in a similar is preferred candidates with limited industry experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience in the design, implementation and testing of control systems will be view favourably, including:
-Assessing risk in all forms applied to design and implementation. (including health and safety requirements and environmental considerations)
-Development of Functional Design Documentation
-PLCs hardware & Software design
-HMI & Scada Systems
-Remote Telemetry Systems
-Electrical panel design
-Factory Acceptance Tests
-Specifying electrical plant and equipment and managing projects/contracts
