Job Title: Risk Management Engineer
Salary: £36,900 – £56,500 depending on skills and experience + benefits + car/cash allowance + annual bonus
Permanent Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available
Working within the Technical Support & Assurance team, you’ll be responsible for providing specialist support across a diverse range of operational assets, including project development and construction activities. You’ll ensure the quality of work delivered is carried out to a high standard, and achieves the requirements of the customer or stakeholder, and all that processes and procedures are adhered to in an efficient and consistent manner across projects.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
*Development and Management of the Engineering Centre Risk processes which support and feed into the Generation & Storage Risk Framework.
*Development and Management of a Design Risk Management Framework which supports the Engineering Centre Design Development Framework.
*Approving the Design Risk Management Strategy for each phase of the Design Development, ensuring that plans are developed, and deliverables identified.
*Provide SHE Risk expertise to ensure all internal, external and legal requirements are met.
*Provide Quality Assurance on all Design Development activities undertaken through completion of internal compliance audits
*Provide appropriate company representation on external industry boards within field of expertise.
Your Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has a strong knowledge and understanding of multi-disciplined engineering disciplines and possesses advanced technical skills related to Process Safety and SHE Management, including application of hazard studies and design risk assessment tools. You’ll come from a power generation or process industry background and bring with you a solid understanding of engineering design development processes for major projects.
As a person, you’ll be a highly motivated self-starter with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You’ll have the ability to influence and negotiate effectively whilst building strong meaningful relationships on all levels throughout the business.
The Engineering Centre is a centralised function providing effective engineering and technology capability to support the safe operation of a diverse fleet of thermal generation, gas storage and renewable generation assets, whilst driving to secure sustained plant income through improved plant availability and performance.
